RedHouse continues to grow and we are reviewing portfolios seeking both guest and full time, permanent positions. At this time we are only looking for experienced artists. Unfortunately we are not looking for an apprentice.  

 

Our team is the core of our business, with artists and piercers who are passionate about what we do and helping our clients have the best possible experience in the shop. We are looking for individuals who can join our growing business, thrive in a team environment and love working with the public.  

 

Responsibilities: 

• Tattoo artists are expected to produce quality experiences with a wide range of clients, manage client expectations and communicate openly with clients and our team. 

• Maintain clean and safe working conditions. All health and safety standards must be met with the highest level of quality.

• Be an active part of our growing team. 

• Participate in a culture of fun and growth : creative activities, training, yearly industry specific BBP training, dinners, etc. 

• Strive to learn and better their craft. 

• Be thorough and accurate with their drawing and tattooing. 

• Be punctual and prepared.

• At times our studio can be a fast paced environment, with client and scheduling challenges and client interactions throughout the day. Applicants should be outgoing, friendly and have a positive attitude.

• Our studio is a team environment, so everyone pitches in and helps where needed. This may mean occasionally answering the phone, making sure the studio is keep clean and tidy, answering emails, helping with other artist’s clients, etc. We are all responsible for great client experiences.  

 

Perks : 

• Our full time, permanent artists and piercers are employees - not contractors. Unlike most studios, since our artists are employees, we pay for the employer portion or of your Social Security Tax and Medicare Tax, both state and federal unemployment taxes and workers compensation insurance. We also provide professional insurance through PPIB. Our artists pay less taxes than if they are contractors and are more apt to be approved for loans, mortgages etc. because they receive weekly reliable paychecks.

• All supplies are provided except for machines, power supplies, cords and personal furniture. 

• Health insurance and accident insurance (like Aflac) are available.

• A structured professional service environment : appointments are held by deposit, clients get reminder calls, all appointments and deposit information are kept through a central POS system. This means less no shows and easy straight forward scheduling for your clients. 

• High end body jewelry at cost for full time permanent employees.

• Our studio is an active part of our community - we do various fund raisers and events throughout the year. 

• We own an Epson 3880 and professional photography equipment to photograph and print archival prints of our artists’ fine art. We sell prints in the shop and online through our Etsy store. 

 

Qualities that we are looking for:

• self motivated individuals that are passionate about art and tattooing

• artists who create not only beautiful tattoos but who enjoy making art outside of the studio during their personal time. 

• optimism and the ability to problem solve and work with sometimes tough clients.

• attention to detail, both in their craft and work environment.

• time management skills and the ability to meet straightforward deadlines. 

• organization and cleanliness!!!

 

Guest Spots:

We love working with both artists and piercers that are traveling through our area. If it’s a day or a week we are always love having visitors. Please reach out to if you are looking to come through the Buffalo area. Terms are flexible.
